Joel Rhys (Reese) FLINT m. Frederick Detwiller abt 1917

I am looking for any information on Joel R. FLINT. She married DETWILLER and online trees show that their marriage was annulled about 1920. I haven't found any proof of that yet.

I can find nothing about her or her FLINT family. All I have is a wedding announcement and his WW I Draft Reg form that shows her as next of kin. I have a letter from her to her Uncle William Reese and she signs her name Josie. So I have used that name as well as Josephine and Joel in all my searches, but still nothing.

I have a Josephine HADLOCK ancestor born in 1886 in S. Dakota who I thought was this FLINT woman. This Josephine's mothers maiden name is REESE, we are REESE descendants, but I just don't understand where the last name FLINT has come from.

Her wedding announcement states she comes from a "prominent pioneer family of Wisconsin and is of Welsh descent, her mother being a cousin of the famous Lloyd George." This all seems to fit my ancestor, except I can't find the Lloyd George connection yet. My grandmother kept this newpaper announcement and the letter from her to her Uncle, so I can only guess she is related some how.

If you have this person in your tree somewhere I would sure appreciate any help you can provide.

I also have a cremation slip that says Jo R. BAKER on it from the Chicago area, where my Josephine's parents lived. I don't know if she remarried after the DETWILLER annulment or what, I just can't piece it together.

Thanks,
Sandy in Kansas
