Yes this is a direct hit! James Flint died of an opium overdose didn't he? Very exciting.James and Mary's son Arthur Robert (born 1827 in Birmingham, baptised St Martins) is my gr-gr-gr-gr-grandfather (I think that is the right number of greats).I didn't know of the existence of your William because I only found out that Mary and james were married in Staffordshire in 1815..the earliest information I had about them was from the St Martins registers 1821 onwards.
I can't access your email address but mine is elizabeth dot amias at btopenworld dot com
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Elizabeth
