Patti:
I saw your query and think there must be a connection to one of my great uncles named William Tivis Flinn.
He lived in Independence County, Arkansas. Born March 1848 in McMinn Co., TN. Married 19 Oct 1872 to Emma A. Pittman.

Is it possible that he went to Texas and Married again? He was not a good provider for his family of three children in Arkansas. His wife had to support them. But I always thought that he lived in Independence County throughout his life.

With that same name, there must be a connection to the Flinn family of Independence Co., AR.
