Here's the language I see:
---------------------------------
At some point in time many of you have received an e-mail message from Genealogy.com welcoming and providing you with a user name and password. That message was a confirmation that you had created a Genealogy.com online account. Online accounts are used by our Web site to allow you to create User Home Pages and Virtual Cemetery entries as well as access Online Data Collections.
--------------------------------
Are you saying I can get an online account, a User Home Page, and Virtual Cemetery entries for free, without paying for a subscription to Genalogy.com?
What I am saying is that, before this upcoming change, anyone could point their browser at the GenForum pages. No one was required to be a member of Genealogy.com to read OR TO POST.
I still read the situation that Genealogy.com will require everyone who posts to the GenForum to be an active, dues-paying member of Genealogy.com.
If Genealogy.com is handing out user accounts for free, then I can accept the "logon" restriction for Posts. If you have to pay to get a user account, then you have to pay to post on GenForum.
