I am posting this b/c in my search for Pinegar's I came across the name Flinchum. Flinchum's are a big part of the Pinegar family, there are a few Pinegar's and Flinchum children who married into the other family. I think this may be true for your Mabe. I have a Nelly Mabe dob:? married Samuel Flinchum dob:ca 1820, she may have had a brother married into the family some where along the line. I have an article and I think this may be your line b/c Robert Flinchum purchased land in 1801 and 1803 adjoining Flatshoal Creek in Meadows District. If you want me to send you a copy of this article give me your mailing address. I got it from a book at the state archives in Raleigh, NC. It is very interesting and lengthy, has a lot of information.
Good luck, Nicole
