Mary: I think we may have found a match. Please e-mail me. I found the date you have for the marriage of Manney Flin and Joseph Hughes March 13, 1854 in MS in the LDS listed as: Nancy Flin and Joseph Hughes March 13, 1854 in Hancock County, MS. Can you give me anymore information on Manney Flin? Here is what I have on Nancy Flin (Hughes)(George): I found in the 1870 Hancock County, MS census: Nancy George born abt. 1838 in Miss (widow) Children: Elizabeth born abt. 1856 in Miss Daniel born abt. 1861 in Miss I found Nancy George in the 1900 census when she was about 60 years old living with her daughter, Elizabeth Jarrell. Elizabeth married Rodney Jarrell. Both Elizabeth and Nancy were listed as widows. Nancy's maiden name, I believe, was Flin. I found death certificates of several of Elizabeth's children with Elizabeth's last name listed as Flinn, Hughes, and Jarrell. I also found a Nancy Flin who married a Joseph Hughes in Hancock County, MS, which may be a match. That may be why Elizabeth is referred to as Hughes as well as Flin. I believe Mr. Hughes died young, and her children were confused with her last name. I have not found anything on Nancy's son Daniel, but she was list in the 1900 Census as mother of 2 children 1 living. So, Daniel died before 1900.
