Terri, alot of research has been completed on the Flewellen line and at one time that family tree was available on a website. I haven't been able to access the site lately. Briefly it starts with a Richard Flewellen in Prince George Co, VA. He had four sons: John, Obediah, Richard, & William. John moved to Edgecombe Co, NC, and then to Johnston Co, NC. He died without a will. The next son Obediah moved West and was never heard from again. Richard and William moved to Halifax Co., NC. William had nine children. When he died in Halifax Co., most of his children and his widow moved to Warren Co., GA. There the Flewellens spread from Atlanta to Columbus, GA. then on to Alabama and Texas. If you would like more information contact me privately and I will put you in touch with the gentlemen who compiled this information. He is most generous about sharing his research.
