The separated spelling is an odd coincidence. I have not seen it anywhere else.
I found a John Wright of Westmoreland Co Va, a blacksmith, interesting because my Thomas of Hancock Co was a blacksmith as was his next door neighbor and no doubt kun George Wright.
Thanks for all those names. I wish one of then had rung a bell, but so far no.
John Wright was a neighbor of Robert Bolling,a descendant of Pocahontas. There is a tradition of descent from her in the Georgia family (Wright, Carlisle, Butts, Hunt) but no info on which line.
I'm getting way out on a limb,but have to try everything. Do the Flewellens have such e claim?

Wright is such a common name that Flewellen might be no kin at all to my guys. Sometimes the least clue breaks down the wall,though. Fay
