Quite right, not to mention that George Thomas Flewelling would have been about 16 years old at the time. It's unlikely that he was married before 1854. I am pretty sure that D. Duncan Flewelling was Duncan Dunbar Flewelling, if only because the name, Duncan, was extremely rare amongst the Flewellings. If D. Duncan Flewelling and Duncan Dunbar Flewelling are not the same person, they are probably the only two persons at the time in the family to have that name. Duncan Dunbar Flewelling was definitely the son of George Thomas Flewelling. I am presently doing some work on that general 'area' of the family, and if something turns up, I'll let you know. There are definite lacunae and errors in Thomas, Jr.'s family; far more than I anticipated. Some of these are being corrected, and something may come of it. If you can ever identify Milton's exact place of birth, that will allow me to focus my search.
Thomas
