My great grandfather was James Flett. He lived in the Red River Valley in North Dakota. He died February 11, 1891 at the age of 36. He was killed in a robbery attempt at the grain elevator where he worked in Arthur, ND. His wife was Catherine M. Flett. They had two sons, Charles Magoris Flett (my grandfather) and Clarence Flett. There were also two infant daughters, Ruth and Ethel who died in infancy. Not sure if any of these are related to your line--but they did settle in the Red River Valley.
