There is record of "James Newton Fletcher", married on 30 October 1880 at Wood County, Texas to M. E.Bell, the elder J.N.Fletcher would have been 56 years of age and assumed by me to be the same man, twice married. James Newton Fletcher's death is recorded in Wood County TX as "1891"

George Mills Fletcher, son of James Newton Fletcher, wasa Wood County, Texas Methodist minister.He married U. Etta Halsem in Wood County on May 17, 1883. Their first born child, M. Frank Fletcher born on April 8, 1884 at Wood County in the town of Alba died there in December of 1918 of the great Flu Epedemic, only 34 years of age, he had married Ivie Wilson and their daughter Maurine, just about 19 years of age died 4 days later of that terrible flu on December 11th.
