Possible further information.

Research has turned up a James Fletcher in Parke County, Indiana, Sugar Creek, dob 1834. The 1850 Census lists his mother as Jane Pollard with siblings Eliza, William, Elizabeth and Mary Fletcher. Mary Fletcher, the last child of Jane Fletcher and her first husband (William?), was born in 1846.

By her second husband, Abraham Pollard, Jane had Sarah Pollard in 1847. This would put the death of Jane's first husband (William?) ca 1845/1846.

Census records indicate that James Fletcher's father was born in Kentucky, Jane ( ) Fletcher Pollard in Tennessee.

James Fletcher married Phebe ( ) and they removed to Coralville, Johnson County, Iowa. On the 1880 Census, James and Phebe had two children - William (age 13) and Hannah (age 9).

The 1910 Census shows Phoebe Fletcher a widow living with her daughter Hanna E (Fletcher) Friley, wife of John C Friley in Cambridge, Saline, Missouri, and their two children Olin (age 19) and Calvin (age 16).

I would very much like to correspond with genealogists researching this family. Specifically, I am very interested in obtain Jane's maiden name and what possible relationship this family is to my family.
