Samuel Moore Fletcher listed in 1880 Federal Census 110/112 as age 52, his wife Susan was 46. The children listed with them was Marcus E. Fletcher b.1856; James B. Fletcher (Jim) born 1858; daughters Bell, josephine & Lizzy; ERNEST MOORE FLETCHER born abt 1867; Samuel O. Fletcher b. abt 1873; and Lorenzo G. Fletcher b.abt 1875 in Texas; Francis E. Fletcher b abt 1870 in Arkansas. Most of this family was born in Henderson Co.,NC
By 1900, with Samuel Moore Fletcher having died in 1891 "near Callahan County" per his obit, the widow Susan was living with Samuel Fletcher Jr in Garfield, Skeleton Co.,Oklahoma, she stated that she'd had 14 children in her life and that 10 were still living born Jan 1834 in NC.
In 1910 Samuel Fletcher Jr was living at Caddo Oklahoma age 37 married with a wife and children Mary age 39; Pearl Fletcher age 10; Earl Fletcher age 8; Elmer Fletcher age 7; Cecil Fletcher age 6; and Anna Fletcher age 4
Samuel Moore Fletcher, son of JOHN FLETCHER and Elizabeth SAVAGE was the brother of Joakim JOSEPH A. Fletcher who moved into Texas County,Missouri abt same time Sam went to Texas. I am looking for descendants of this family.
