How exciting! This is the first clue I have gotten on the Fletcher side of my family. Here is what I have:
My great great grandfather, Francis Fletcher born 3/1/1814 in England, probably Yorkshire. Older brother Joseph born 10/12/1805. Joseph immigrated to Canada in the 1820's. About 1828 he returned to England and brought his family to Ontario.
About 1832, when he was 18, Francis moved to Peoria, Illinois. I do not know if any of his family came with him. In 1839-40 Francis was in a group of men known as the Peoria Party that blazed the Oregon Trail. He became a prominent pioneer and married Elizbeth Smith whose family were pioneers of 1842.
I don't know if Francis ever returned East for his family but brother Joseph evetually made it to Oregon. He died there in 1873. Francis died in 1871.
Does any of this information match? Do you have birth dates for Francis or Joseph? You mention Allerston and Percy Bolton in England, are they in Yorkshire?
I can't wait for you to write me back.
