Thank you for the reply. I have atually contacted John, since he has so kindly helped other people in the past. While John also did not know of a connection to the Northern Pacific, we think that the person I am looking for is probably a Joseph Walker Flenniken, born in Uniontown, PA in 1833, the son of Robert P. Flenniken who was a member of the PA legislature, Ambassador to Denmark, and a Judge of the Supreme Court of the Utah Territory. While I have not yet been able to tie JW in conclusively, it is looking good.
