I was hoping that someone would have some kind of information on William B. Flemming and his daughter Rebecca Jane Flemming-Horton Shryock. William was my GGGrandFather1859-69 , Rebecca 1875, they were from Boone County Missouri, they came to Crawford County Arkansas and settled there. We were told that William went to Short Oklahoma( Sequoyah County) and that he died there, can't find any records on that. My Mother remembers that he came to visit his daughter quite often in Van Buren, so he may have been close by. Rebecca had a brother named Thomas Horton. The reason for the Horton is that they were raised by their GrandMother Horton. We also were told that he drew Indian rights to take care of hios children. Rebecca married John B. Shryock in 1895 at Van Buren Arkansas. If anyone can help us with this we would really appreciate it.
