'Glad you enjoyed my site...Indeed, we hope that someday we can prove the Wigton descent...only DNA can prove this and since the male line is said to "have failed" in the 17thC-there is little hope of this. However-as some of the messages on Genforum attest-there are ongoing attempts to prove/disprove it once & for all. Along with the story on the Randolphs-did you read the story I wrote on "John Isaac Bates-Indentured Servant"? We have two Bates lines-the one in Virginia & one in Mass. that connects to my Pixley line. They originated near each other in England-but The Bates Family website (bfoov.org) which has a link on my website-says that there is no proven connection between the two.
