Update materials:

FLEMING, Thomas

Born in Ireland 1828

marriage to Eliza Nevill 5 Sept 1856

Served in civil war 1861 for the 12th Illinois Infantry

Sworn neturalization: In 1861 in Perry County,IL.

Had many children with Eliza:

Names include:

John, A son Thomas, Jane, Sarah William, James, Samuel, Stephen, a daughter Eliza, and George.

They all lived in what was called Paradise, Perry County, Illinois and later called Sunfield. The mailing was back then for Tamaroa, Il. Now (2009) it is called Sunfield but DuQuoin lays claim to most of the area.

FLEMING, Thomas the father died in 18 Feb 1909.
He along with Eliza are buried in the I.O.O.F. cemetery in DuQuoin, Illinois in section "K".

This all has been found in either the Perry county Courthouse or County Clerk's office for the legal papers.
I found some information on microfilm of old newspapers in DuQuoin Public Library.

If there is anyone looking into this family or may have more information please let me know!
