Source: 17 July 2007 Daily Southerner newspaper, Tarboro, NC GERALD S. FLEMING II SCOTLAND NECK — Pastor Gerald Shelby Fleming III, 58, died Sunday, July 15, 2007. A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. today at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Orangeburg, S.C. with the Rev. Darrell Wilkins and the Rev. Gene Rowell officiating. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday at Sunnyside Cemetery in Scotland Neck with full military rights. Fleming is survived by his wife Judith Baisey Fleming; three sons, Gerald Shelby Fleming IV of Lawndale, Mark A. Fleming of Whitakers and Jonathan D. Fleming of Columbia, S.C.; two daughters, Judith L. Wingard of Springfield, S.C., and Rebecca A. Carson of Orangeburg, S.C.; his mother, Gladys A. Fleming of Scotland Neck; two sisters, Vicky Hicks of Henderson and Annette Coxe of Rock Hill, S.C.; three brothers, Russ Fleming of Whitakers, Gary Fleming of Kansas City, Kan., and Cary Fleming of Kenly; and four grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. today at Gospel Light Baptist Church and at others times at 178 Wakefield Drive, Neeses, S.C. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at Letchworth Funeral Home in Scotland Neck. Internet condolences may be made at ww.letchworthfuneralhome.com.
