Colors as first names?

I have been searching for information about my gg grandfather, White Fleetwood, for some time now. He was born circa 1800 in Delaware.

And now I read that there was a Green Fleetwood, who was born in 1810.

Just recently, I came across information in Google about a person from that same time period who was named Orange Fleetwood.

?? Are they related? brothers? why do they have colors for first names? Pretty interesting.
