Sarah Nelle Darden Curry, 91, Church Hill, Hawkins Co TN,
passed from this life on May 11, 2008 at Church Hill
Health Care & Rehab. She had been in declining health for
several years. She has now seen the face of God.
Nelle was born December 28, 1916 to the late C. B. Fleenor
and Florida Hart Fleenor in Hiltons, VA. She worked as
linotype operator at the Kingsport Press Inc. in Kingsport,
TN, from 1935-1963. Mrs. Curry did the same work in
Florida and also at the US Government Printing Office in
Washington, D.C. She was co-owner of Brew-Well Coffee
Service with her husband, Sam, from 1981 until retirement
in 1995. She enjoyed a great many things, especially
spending time with family and friends. Nelle was a
wonderful mother, sister and aunt. She will be missed
tremendously.
In addition of her parents, she was preceded in death by
her second husband, Samuel Curry; her first husband,
Vincent L. Darden; a brother, Earnest Fleenor; and a
sister, Kate Fleenor Zipf.
Nelle Sarah Curry is survived by her daughter, Cynthia
Ann 'Cindy' Darden; her sisters, Margie Fleenor, Georgia
Hicks, and Jean Roberts, all of Church Hill, TN; a
brother, Eddy Fleenor, Matthews, NC; along with several
nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at
Carter-Trent Funeral Home of Church Hill from 5 p.m. to 7
p.m. A cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to
Church Hill Health Care & Rehabilitation Center, 701
W. Main Blvd., Church Hill, TN 37642.
Many heartfelt thanks go out to the staff of Church Hill
Health Care & Rehab for their support and loving care of
Sarah Curry.
