Adam lived for a time in Washington County, Virginia near his brothers.In 1778 he sold his land holdings to his brother Michael Flinner and moved to Sullivan County, Tennessee, where he is listed in the 1792 tex records.Before 1793 he moved his family to Robertson County, Tennessee.He was killed by Creek Indiana in June 1793 at Drippings Springs, which is located near Oak Grove In Sumner County, Tennessee.He and the other members of his party were in route from Tennessee to Red River in Logan County, Kentucky of slat.On the way there and back they stayed the night at the home of Thomas Chapman, in what is now Warren County, Kentucky, where Thomas operated a hourse mill.Shortyly afther departing for Tennessee, there was gunfire, and Chapman rushed out to find an ambush by the Indian's, and founld Flener and party at Three Sprints, where he was buried.Others killed in the incident were, Richard Robertson, and William Barlett.Wounded were Abraham Young and John Mayfield.His family moved to Logan County, Kentucky.Sons of Adam, Moses and Isaac, inherited his Robertson County land which they sold later.I have a copy, need to find it, will email it to you.Adam's line spelling is Flener and Fleener.Isaac and John spelled there name Fleener, and Moses and Adam spelled there name Flener.
