Diane;
Thanks for your input, every little bit helps. I knew about Martha and Hewitt Dennis. Joseph & Martha had a daughter named Martha, and she would be about old enough to be married in 1870, and she is in the right area, I have the 1860 census and they (Joseph & Martha) are in Iron County, Mo., then w/ 5 children. Someone told me they are also in the 1860 census in Va. but I haven't been able to get a copy of that one, I just wondered if they could be in both census for the same year.
