Lynn, I tried to contact you by email but it failed. I am not related to Enoch Fleece. My g-g-g-g grandmother was Cynthia Ann Smith who was the daughter of the Nancy Smith and the late ? Smith. Nancy Smith married Enoch Fleece after Smiths death. Enoch Fleece later died in 1838 in Pope Co. Illinois. Evidently Enoch Fleece raised my Cynthia Ann Smith basicly from a child until his death. She married James Washington Golightly in 1840 in Illinois. I do not know anything about Nancy Smiths first husband Smith nor her maiden name. In searching for Enoch Fleece I found on the internet information from the Lawrence County, Ohio Index of Clerk ofCourts Journal 1&2 1818-1830, information showing court records that shows David McFann versus Enoch H. Fleece and shows the page numbers for the records. Would that be his brother in law that he had a problem with in Ohio? I sure hope to find info on my Smiths.

Linda Glaus
