Hi Linda. Yes, I've got the documentation of that court hearing. Enoch Fleece was accused of burning a horse because it was "spelled by a witch".

According to my records and research, Enoch Fleece did marry a woman named Nancy Smith. He was from Berkeley County, [W]Virginia and moved to Ohio. The 1830 Census for Elizabeth Twp in Lawrence Co, Ohio enumerated 9 persons total and he was listed as being between 40-50 yrs of age.

Enoch Fleece is a brother of my g-g-g-grandmother, Mary Fleece. Mary Fleece married David McFann in Berkeley County, [W]Virginia in 1799 (they migrated into Ohio, too). Their parents are: Jacob Fleece and Rebecca Smith. I am unsure if Enoch Fleece's wife, Nancy Smith, was related to Rebecca Smith, his mother. Perhaps you know more ?
