I think I am descended from the same Flavin family. I am descended from Mary Flavin who was born in Ireland in 1846. She had a younger sister named Margaret who was also born in Ireland. Their were several younger siblings. I think their names were John, Ellen and Martin if my memeory is serving me. Their parents were Martin and Mary. I did not know the mother's maiden name. They arrived in New York in 1851. They appear in the New York census in 1860 and 1870. Martin was a butcher. My ancestor went to San Francisco and married Henry Joseph Brown. I did not know what became of the rest of the family. I am very anxious to hear from you.
