Dear cousin ~ yes we are related! And the relationship is as follows:

"Matthew Flavin married Catherine Redman of Passage East, Co. Waterford, Ireland. Catherine's father was a wealthy merchant from Vigo Spain and whose name was originally Reymond. He built several houses, one for each dauther in Passage East. Matthew and Catherine had six children: William, John(my gr.gr.grandfather who immigrated to New York City), Thomas, Katherine, Betsie (Elizabeth) and Mary. Mary and Katherine remained in Passage East and their decendants are still living in the Flavin-Redman House..."

We have a photograph of the houses that are still standing and one of the cousins still lives there. I met her over a year ago.

Please send your email address (merced@fl.net.au) so that we can exchange further information. Also maybe a telephone number. Its a shame I was just in the States and just got back yesterday.

You must be a relative of Sean Flavin who is an attorney in Monterey California who is the son of Martin Flavin.

Regards,

Jerry
