This line is from John Flatt b 1782 MD d 1824 Jackson Co TN m Mary Margaret Parker b 1786 VA. John was a brother to Benjamin "Poeney" Flatt b 1776 who married Elizabeth Lewis. John is presumed to be a son of John Flatt who was at Paint Creek, Roane Co TN.

One of his sons was John W Flatt b 1805 Roane Co TN m Nancy E Glasscock b 1814 TN. He, in turn had a son Samuel Amos Flatt b 1854 m Mary LeeAnn Smith, and one of his sons was George Millard Flatt b 1883.
