Koreen,
I am Lavina (Flatt) Pearce at mpearce1@hamiltoncom.net or me_rue@yahoo.com if the first doesn't work the second one will.
Hello-I am somehow related to Lula May Flatt - my grandfather was Robert Flatt, but he was Robert McKinley Flatt known as Uncle Bob to a lot of friendsnot certain on birth year about 1880 but died Jul 1959 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I do have a picture of him (not very good onewith his daughters Mammie and Nellie. He was married to (unknown 1st wife) in Michigan and had (unknown) daughter, whom I was told died young of cancer. Don't know anymore about either of them.
Grandpa Robert went from Michigan to Tennesse to his siter Anne house whom had a large family, (don;t know where but maybe in Jackson county. (My dad Henry Flatt went sith Robert to Tennesse in the 40's before the war started to visit this sister). Don't have a married name for her though but she was a FLATT.
Grandpa Robert met my grandmother, Minnie Cathleen Breazeale and married (?) They had Mammie 1918 - 1982 & twin died, then moved with George Breazeale, her brother from Arkansas to Texas. They are mentioned in the Texas Census in 1920. There they delivered Edna Robbie Flatt 1920 - 2003, her twin died, These were all born in Coleman, Texas - George Alfred Flatt (went by Alfred) 1922-1991, Henry Bell Flatt (my dad)16 Dec 1925 - 23 Dec 1989, RC (not initials but his name)1927 - 1982, Louis Lee Flatt died 1977. These were all born in Kennett, Missouri - Earl James Flatt 18 mo. died, Robert "Junior" Flatt 16 yrs died - drown, Clifford "Cotton" Flatt, Nellie Pearl Flatt died 2003. The only ones presently living are Clifford "Cotton" Flatt - 89 yrs lives in Lincoln, Illinois and the widow of George "Alfred Flatt - June Agnes (White) Flatt 89 or 90 yrs lives in Justice, Illinois in the Chicago area.
Whenever they were in Lampasas, Texas, this is where Fred, Lula, & Ina are mentioned to me for the first time. It was mentioned that Fred or Winfred was related to Grandma Minnie Breazeale as a brother or maybe brother in law but they thought it was a brother. But if his name is as you have it Wucherpfennig he must have been half brother to George and Minnie. If Lula May was a Flatt that could mean that she was a sister to my grandpa Robertand Fred was definitely her husband.
They moving to Kennett, Missouri from Coleman, Texas and lived until 1940's because my da made a statement that Minnie and Robert had a falling out and he and his dad went to see Robert's sister Annie in Jackson County, Tennesse. Did not say how long they stayed but that they were back my dad went into the navy and was in Pearl Harbor. He never said whether they got back together but I believe they stayed married.
Dad married a Betty Preston but that did not work out. He and a couple of his brothers, migrated to Michigan with the fruit picking and Dad and my mother met. I am the second child and there were five of us kids when Henry my dad, moved us all to Arizona, I was 3yrs. On the way, Mom said they stopped to see Robert who was in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Hospital with TB, we stood by the door because we were not allowed in......I remember this image very well. That was the last Dad seen his dad alive. He died July 1959. We moved back to Michigan and lived til I was 18 yrs. 1971 I married have 4 children and 5 grandchildren and wonderful husband of 37 yrs come this December.
I am sorry I did not know how to post this on the message board but if you can maybe there will be more responds to this message.
