My mother is a Flaspohler. Her father was Joseph. He married Christina Wallpe, who died when my mother was two. She went to live with her paternal grandparents. She has told me that her grandfather's name was Henry, and spoke with a german accent. her grandmother was Elizabeth laker. She thought they were from Austria. She remembers them talking about upper and lower Astria. I have tried various places on the internet, but as yet found nothing. I don't know if this will help you or not, but good luck.
