I did not realize, that there were any Flanary folks in Union County. My great great grandfather was Samuel Houston Bruner. His mother married a 2nd time to Green M. Flanary, in 1852 in Hawkins County, TN or Scott County, Virginia. He was raised as a Flanary, but retained the Bruner name. Green and Elizabeth Flanary lived in Scott County, VA. until their deaths. Samuel Houston Bruner lived in Union County, TN. beginning in 1894 until his death in 1920. Green M. Flanary and Elizabeth Hensley Bruner Flanary had several children. One of them Mahaley Flanary married Arthur Armstrong. I don't know why Samuel Houston Bruner moved to Union County, Maybe Mary Flanary King was a sister of Green M. Flanary. Green would have been born about 1819. Some of the Bruner, Armstrong, Flanary family lived in Ousley County, Ky after the civil war.
