Hi Cuz!
I have researched our side of the family now for many, many years.
I forgot to add in my posting that I have a picture of Jacob & Rebecca. It was taken from the original painting that your cousin Lynn Taylor Flanary has in Blackwater(next to Jacob's farm), Lee Co, VA. Elbert's place (Jacob's son) was nearby... It was the original Marcum homestead that your Marcums' originated from. The old Anse Marcum farm & the Graveyard is there to. I visited the graveyard, on watermelon hill, 2 years ago and took pictures & recorded the graveyard. There is a nice fence around the place & Blackwater Elbert's place, probably built by Anse Marcum, was still standing. Weather and mother nature will take care of the old place in the next 5-10 years. Anyway, just wanted to make contact with you as I could really use your help in updating the Marcum & Flanary side of our family. With your help our family history will be much more complete.
