I am Mason Flake Sr, the father of Michael A. Flake and the last surviving Grandson of Elijah Flake. I was very pround to learn of my son's interest in his heritage and the exceptional website he has developed. I never knew my Grandfather as I was born a number of years after his death, but history has recorded his valiant deeds of the Civil War, which is recorded in a book "Covered With Glory" by Rod Gragg.
