John is descended from Thomas Flake of Scotland? born abt 1796, died abt 1851 (settled in Jefferson Co., NY, and his wife, Nancy Pickles born abt 1800 NY and died Dec 1847, as are the Flakes' located in the eastern part of Ontario.
