I'm a descendant of Samuel Flake's daughter Delilah Flake (ca. 1749-1845) who married Hardy Hooker (ca. 1858-1840) of Anson County (formerly of Bertie Co., NC), through Deliah and Hardy's daughter Jane Hooker who married Job. H. Curtis, son of Elijah Curtis, Sr.
If you will do a search of this forum for "Samuel" and "Anson" I believe you should find quite a few message postings as over the years there has been a number of discussions of Samuel Flake and the Flake family of Anson County, NC on GenForum. I seem to recall quite a bit of activity two, or maybe it was three years ago, on the Anson group. However, time has a way of slipping past us, and maybe what I'm remembering was even longer ago than that ! <grin>
