C.D. & Sally Flake Tippah County Mississippi

My paternal great grandfather was C. D. "Dick" Flake from Tippah County Mississippi. His wife was Sally Flake, formerly Sally Rains. They had 5 children, all deceased now. Does anyone know where the family originated from? Any relatives out there? Don't know much about my father's side of the family. Where does the name Flake originate from? Any help would be appreciated.
