Emma Flagg m Seneca Dickey Oct 1866 in Newbury, VT. I was able to find little on Emma while researching records there. Her marriage certificate gives her place of birth as New Hampton, NH, but the birth certificate of one of her children states her place of birth as Boston. She died 14 Oct 1889 in Bradford, VT. Her death certificate lists David Flagg and Mary Rogers (b Boston) as her parents. I found her grave site where i saw that she was born in 1849. Just behind the gravestones of 3 of her children is a stone inscribed Frances J. Flagg, wife of George A. Bean died July 21 1871. The 1880 census has an Ernest W. Flagg residing with Seneca Dickey and Emma Flagg. He is listed as "nephew" age 5, b 1875 in NH, father b. ME, mother b NH. The LDS website has an Ernest W. Flagg b 1875 New Hampton NH, father Charles H. Flagg, mother Alice Josephine Hazen b Boston 1868, m 17 Sep 1898. If this is the correct couple, Ernest would be 23 at the time of the marriage.

I did notice that several queries on GenForum list a Daniel Flagg m Mary Rogers. I must wonder if the David listed on the death certificate might well be Daniel instead.

If you recognize any of these names please assist. Perhaps your records might be helpful in shedding light upon the mysterious Flaggs in my ancestry.
