"The Pulaski Democrat" [Pulaski, Oswego Co., NY], Wednesday, 18 Aug 1926, p. 1: ALICE BELLE FLAGG BRIDE OF ALTON STANLEY Miss Alice Belle Flagg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Flagg, of Rome steret [sic], and H. Alton Stanley, son of Mrs. Harriette Stanley, of Henderson, were married at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the home of the bride, by Rev. William Geeson, of Turin, half-brother of the bridegroom. The maid of honor was Miss Florence Kelsey of Henderson; bridesmaids, Miss Anna M. Colvin of Redfield, Miss Joyce E. Fuller, of Carthage, Miss Fred Flagg, of Camden, and Miss Marjorie Stanley of Henderson; best man, John H. Geeson of Henderson; flower girl, Miss Pearl Flagg, sister of the bride, the flower basket being carried by Jackie and Frances McAdam of Watertown. The Lohengrin wedding march was played by Mrs. Earl V. Flagg of this village and before the ceremony, Mrs. Albert W. Lewis sang "At Dawning" and Earl V. Flagg sang "O Promise Me." Gown of the bride was of white brocated [sic] silk crepe over white satin and carried a large shower bouquet of bride's roses. The maid of honor wore a gown of salmon colored charmosette [sic] and carried a bouquet of salmon colored gladiolas. Gowns of the bridesmaids were in rainbow tints and sweet peas were carried. A wedding dinner was served, about 100 guests being present. The bride's table was decorated with roses and the bride's cake formed the centerpiece. The bride was educated in Pulaski academy. Mr. Stanley is an electrician, and a graduate of Henderson high school.
