My mother always said he was her great uncle, and that although they never met, she corresponded with him as a little girl. I'd love to know for certain if and how he was related. My grandfather was Earl Lawrence Flagg, born in Lafayette, Indiana. He had 3 brothers, Raymond, Leif and Robert, and one sister, Laura. I was told that our family can be traced to New York in the 1700's, although I do not have that information yet.
