I am wondering if there might be two Jacob Flaggs. Julia Estelle Flagg Wilson was my great grandmother. She married Duncan Malloy Wilson, Sr. In the Ellerbe Family History book I have, it shows that Jacob Claudius Flagg is the second husband of Mirium Elizabeth Ellerbe. This is the mother of my Great Grandfather, Duncan Malloy Wilson, Sr. Her first husband was my Great Great Grandfather, Alexander Jackson Wilson. This is Julia Estelle Flagg Wilson's Obituary which list her parents, Jacob C. Flagg and Julia Sessions Flagg. So I am not sure that this is Jacob Claudius Flagg. It would be nice to be able to clarify this one way or the other. Entered Into Eternal Rest Monday, February 6, 1967 Mrs. Duncan M. Wilson-Manning Mrs. Julia Flagg Wilson, wife of Duncan Malloy Wilson, died Monday at the Claredon Memorial Hospital. Funeral Services were held today at the Shelley-Brunson Funeral Home Chapel in Manning. Burial was in the Foreston Cemetery. Born in Charleston, she was a daughter of the late Jacob C. Flagg and Julia Sessions Flagg. Mrs. Wilson ws a member of the Union Methodist Church and a retired school teacher and retired president of the teachers association. She received her education at the Jordan Academy and Winthrop College. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Alexander Jacob Wilson of Foreston and Duncan Malloy Wilson Jr. of Manning; two daughters, Mrs. Fulton C. Lampley of Spartanburg and Mrs. Ray A. Bedenbaugh of Pasadena, TX; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Let me know if you have any further information that would determine whether or not this is the same Jacob Flagg. Notify Administrator about this message?
