Thomas Flack and Jane McCuiston Flack were Eliza's parents. Thomas was born in 1735 in Londonderry, Ireland, though some think he might have been born in Pennsylvania. Jane McCuiston was also born in 1735 in Derry, Ireland. Eliza was born about 1775 in North Carolina. Thomas was a Captain in the North Carolina militia and commanded a cavalry troop during the Revolutionary War. His troop was in the Battle of Guilford Courthouse and other actions. He was also active in the North Carolina Regulators before the Revolutionary War. He died in 1782 in Guilford, NC. Jane died 15 January 1802, also in Guilford. They had nine children, Eliza being eighth or nineth born. I have a lot of information about Thomas and can send that if you would like. Also, if you look Jane McCuiston up on the Internet, there is a wealth of information on her lineage going back hundreds of years. Let me know if you need any more.
