Pre-ordered copies of the newly published HERITAGE BOOK OF WALTON COUNTY will be available for pick-up May 19th and May 20th at the DeFuniak Library on Circle Drive. Distribution time on Friday will be from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. and on Saturday, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
This book was a "grass roots" project by a small group of unpaid volunteers who, over a period of several years, collected approximately 425 family and 220 general interest stories specific to Walton County. It is unlike anything else published about the county.
Additional copies will be available for $64.20 each.
Proceeds from the sales above publishing costs will go toward the purchase of genealogy reference materials for the Walton-DeFuniak Library.
