How about this? Family Tree Maker says that it's possible that David Benjamin was born in Ashe Co., NC. I found a record on Family Search that said he was born in Clinch Co., GA. So this puts us back where we started as far as finding his place of birth. Union County doesn't have much genology stuff on the web yet. When I get back on shift work I will have more time to keep looking.
