Looking for any family information on Columbus R. Alexander, a doctor who practiced medicine in Center Hill, Sumter County, FL in mid-1850s. He served in FL. Indian Wars as well. Sister could be Martha Jane Alexander who married Enoch B. Phelps in 1856, Marion/Sumter County, FL. Columbus signed afidavit on Enoch's behalf for Indian War Pension papers saying that they served together and had know each other for "some 50 years". I am assuming from this that Columbus and Martha Jane Alexander were siblings. Searching for their parents, siblings or ANY family information or leads. Thanks.
