Sep 7, 1920 Resolution on the Death of Mrs. Mary Hanna Tubbs, By Pats. The Baptist Church passed the following resolution on the death of Mary Hanna Tubbs on July 31, 1920. "It is with a deep sense of sorry and regret that we chronicle the passing of our dear friends, Mrs. Hannah Tubbs, b. in Norwich, Conn., October 8, 1853. Thirty-four years ago she and her family moved to Sanford, Florida; lived there thirteen years and moved from there to Fort Pierce where they lived until her death.... "This was truly exemplified on February 21, 1920 when the Death Angel came and bore away the sweet spirit of our dear sister Mrs. W.H. Tubbs---one so capable, so willing, so useful and so needful in the community. Early in life she gave her heart to God and united with Sanford Baptist Church. Upon her removal to Fort Pierce she became a member of the Baptist Church where she was always read to respond to every call for service...." This is quite lengthy and I would be happy to send it via postal address if you would provide your snail mail in a private email to me. There appears to be no traditional obituary with listing of children and others. Only her husband is mentioned by name and then as "W.H. Tubbs." If you don't have it, I found information on this family in 1910,St. Lucie; 1900, Brevard (St. Lucie precinct) 1880 Preston, New London, CT; Further back, it's not so straightforward. If you need any of this information, let me know. you may have it already. Linda Hudson Bailey lindahudsonbailey@yahoo.com Notify Administrator about this message?
