I know of several families from the Colleton Co, SC area that had migrated to Polk County,
Florida by the 1870 census...

Hello! I am your new host for the Polk County, FLGenWeb Project,Inc. site.
I welcome any comments you may have about my site as well as it's contents,
I am always looking for more material to add and Welcome any material you may think
would add to the History of Polk County, There are several little towns and places
that never quite made the town list I would also like
