I am looking for Hiram O. Burroughs and his wife Elvinah Wiggens. Hiram had at least one son named Allen Burroughs who married Carrie Jones. Allen was born in 1897 ( from the Boulogne/Hilliard, FL area) and died in 1970 (in Orange Park, FL). His wife, Carrie Jones was born and raised in Florida. She died in Sept of 1962.
It is believed that Carrie has Indian blood, possibly Seminole.
Allen Burroughs and Carrie Jones had the following children.
1. Susie Burroughs married a Roy Wise.
2. Viola Burroughs - married a Mr. Singleton.
3. Annie Mae Burroughs - married a Mr. Odum.
4. Evon or (Yvonne) Burroughs married Mr. Saunderlin.
5. Annette Burroughs - married a Mr. Proper.
6. Leonard (a/k/a Buck)(lives in Orange Park, FL)
7. Leon Howard (a/k/a Jiggs) born approx 1927 or 1928 in Jacksonville, FLa. (died approx 1980 Lake City/Live Oak, FL). He married Dorothy Jane Cook (daughter of Mr. Cook and Sally Mobley.
8. Oral (a/k/a Pumpkin)
