Amy,
It is generous of you to offer your service, I hope that you are still up to this. I was told that in the Key West library there is an index of baptisms that begins around the mid 1800's, and that there is a gentleman there by the name of Tom Hambright that is in charge of this index, or is affiliated with it in some way.

I'm helping a good friend who lives in Havana, Cuba who has recently learned that her grandmother, Celia Dominguez (married name Fernandez) was born in Key West on Sept. 12, 1881 and was the daughter of Jose Dominguez. It is believed that Celia Dominguez left Key West around 1893 for Tampa where she married in 1903.

Next time you are at the library, could you please look into the existence of this baptism index to see if Celia Dominguez is listed, and whatever information could be found on it? It is not known if her father Jose Dominguez ever left Key West, or where or when he was born or died, nor anything is known about Celia's mother.
