Hi Lorene, searching I did not immediately find the same records you found. By adjusting my search several times I finally found the 1850 census you mention.

You made a good faith effort to answer Thomas Kerwin's questions - very helpful! I suggest you go further and post transcriptions of those census records (and other records). That way, the particular spelling of a name, etc., is given and we can find the same record easily.

Also, by posting transcriptions of your records, you will automatically convey information that it is easy to inadvertently leave out when you share only a narrative.

Also you will be sharing information you have found that may not be available online or not easily found online. For example, how do you know her name is Elizabeth C. Black?

Rather than struggle with finding out something you already know, I suspect volunteer researchers are simply waiting for more from you. It's painful for a volunteer to spend three hours figuring something out, then have the seeker say, "I already have that." I hope you can understand that volunteers would avoid that situation.

Of course, as T. Kerwin says, it may not be possible in any event to find the answer for you. My suggestion is just aimed at giving the best possible chance for an answer.

Wish you well and hope this ancestry can ultimately be traced.
