We're trying to find info on my better half's grandfather, with no luck, yet - hope someone can assist. He was William ?Andrew? Jones (July 4, 1902 - July 18, 1965). William was supposed to be full Cherokee. To our knowledge, he was married twice - to Celia Lute Perry (Sep. 27, 1897 - Apr 30, 1955) - better half's grandmother; and to Thelma ? after Celia passed away. William & Celia are buried next to each other in Roselawn Cemetery in Lakeland, FLA. William was a private in the US Army (no info available on service record). Some conflicting info on where he was born, best guess is TN. or VA., but could also be elsewhere, but the military headstone simply shows Virginia, so we presume that VA. is his birthplace. No idea where either marriage took place, or when he moved to FLA. No info on their marriage. Celia was married twice, before William - to a Wagner first (2 kids - Pauline & Ross); and a Doss second ( 2 kids - Lucille & David); and with William, 1 child - Virginia, which is my better half's mom. No luck on SSDI or obits for either. Can anyone help?
